The Zillertal Valley is a great destination for hikers. It offers up to 1400 km of hiking trails from the lowlands to the lonely peaks of the three thousanders. This vast array of routes of varying difficulty allows everyone to find their own. 

Cable cars even in summer

The summer season in Zillertal is coming to the fore, which has caused the summer operation of almost all cable cars in the valley. Up the Gerlossteinwand

A hike up the Gerlossteinwand is the closest hike option from the guest house. Gerlossteinwand can even be seen directly from the windows of the guesthouse and resembles a table mountain. The route leads through beautiful nature and is highly recommended to all guests. This circular trail takes about 3 to 5 hours, but the views you get as a reward are really worth it. On your return, you can indulge in a local specialty in one of the mountain huts at the top of the cable car station. A very beautiful route via feratta leads up this mountain too! 

Hotspot: Olpererhüte

You may have seen this photo before. One of the most visited places in the Zillertal is this hanging bridge at the Olperer hut. The route up is a bit more challenging, but it is worth it. The route starts at the Schlegeis dam and leads you up through the rocky countryside. Along the way, you can enjoy views of the dam it is very likely that you meet Chamois on the way. Please note that due to the popularity of this place, you may encounter quite a few tourists in the main summer months of July and August.
